
Precise localization in real-time, in any environment
We have developed an innovative localization technology based on the Ultra Wide Broadband. This is a patented solution shared with the University of Florence, which allows full, precise and punctual tracking, both outdoor and indoor.
We make both the software and hardware part, to guarantee the maximum reliability typical of a Made in Italy product.
Innovative technology, flexible architecture
The localization and control platform is based on the Ultra WideBand (UWB), a very precise and efficient signal transmission & reception technique, capable of communicating at short and medium distances at low power consumption.
More precise than GPS, can also be used indoors.
Its architecture – consisting of Tag, Radar and App – is more accessible, flexible and easy-to-use than fixed radio-localization.


Tag
Transmitting and wearable devices, low consumption and powered by a coin battery. These devices communicate their presence up to 10 times per second to the receivers, which determine their position with a precision of 30 cm, triangulating their relative distances. Each Tag can be associated with a mobile object or a person.
Radar
Receiving device. Its installation easyness makes it suitable for various uses based on need and does not require the use of special or expensive infrastructures to delimit the area of interest: the Radars can in fact be powered by a rechargeable lithium battery and communicate with each other by radio. The Radars are equipped with physical supports that allow to adjust their height, variable between 160 and 200 centimetres depending on the needed coverage. When the system is turned on, the devices synchronize themselves by automatically calculating the geometry of the coverage area.


Radar

App
Management and control software, the heart of the platform. It can be used from a smartphone or tablet and allows you to set up the system, collect data, send them to the cloud for historical storage, retrieve movement activity data, present them to the user and organize them in a suitable graphic format.
Areas of application
The patented technology allows to increase the technological level in multiple areas. The transmitted data allow in-depth analysis and movement behaviors can be controlled in real time: all the information are easily displayed and customizable for any operating scenario through a single platform.
We have identified some areas of application for the localization and analysis platform, but the flexibility and total control both on hardware and software allows us to address any specific project.


Sport
UWB technology is the ideal solution for measuring and analyzing individual and team performance. By delimiting the area of interest with radars (such as the playing pitch) and providing each athlete with a target device, it is possible to detect real time data on speeds, trajectories, changes of direction, etc. Processing and combining individual players data, it is possible to gather information about the entire team performance.
Job security
Thanks to the flexibility and portability of the platform, it is possible to quickly delimit a construction site or any manufacturing site, without any need for infrastructure or wiring constraints. You can place tags on some sensitive locations (plants, machinery, areas at potential risk) and also tag the staff, so as to check the relative distances in real time – up to 10 times per second – and, if necessary, activate security alert. With the same principle it can be verified, for example, that all persons entering a specific space are then out of it in a later moment.

Logistics
The localization platform can be used for monitoring and improving the efficiency of warehouses and cargo handling areas, where there are needs to control the movement of operating vehicles and the organization and positioning of materials, in all those circumstances in which a fixed detection system is disadvantageous or underused.

Tagging guests and patients, especially if they are older or liable to neurodegenerative diseases, allows to monitor their position and motor activities at all times, alerting medical staff in real time whether these patients are too far from their own room or stay too long at a specific place, intervening immediately when needed or preventing conflict situations between fragile individuals. The simple system mobility and configurability makes it possible to move it and place it in the rooms and in the portions of the structure where it is actually necessary, typically depending on where the guest to be monitored has been placed.

Tagging trolleys and baskets in large-scale retail stores or in malls can help tracking customer journeys and, for example, analysing the effectiveness of promotions or communication campaigns, possibly crossing them with sales data. Even tagging specific products and lanes from time to time – even different ones during the day – and measuring the density and dynamics of customers in their vicinity, can help to understand the interest generated towards consumers at that time.
